CONCEPT

The BOILR RM is a design collective. We are a group of young designers and creatives who believe that dialogue and collaboration is key to creating dynamic design solutions. We are interested in the entire process of design, from concept through fabrication, installation and event. Being a collective we utilise the creative potential of hybridity, and multiperspectivism.
The BOILR RM was formed in 2010 by top Bartlett graduates Justine Bell, Dan Slavinsky and Tom Noonan.
The BOILR RM shop is the physical location to display our designs. This includes furniture, lighting, installation and artwork. It is unconventionally a shop, and perhaps closer to a studio or workshop space, in that it is not static and allows continual design dialogue. It is a space for us to engage with the public, and for them to experience our current designs.
The BOILR RM are open to any design project or collaboration. Currently we are designing, and fabricating furniture, and pursuing our interests through architectural research and drawing. We have experience in furniture design and manufacture, architectural design, conceptual design, architectural research, installation and events. We can offer design concepts and solutions for products, furniture, spaces, buildings, cities, sounds, print, and web. The BOILR RM endeavours to break the boundaries of existing design and architectural practice, and to create a new collective and dialogic culture of thinking, designing, producing and experiencing.
